PERANCANGAN VIDEO ANIMASI 3D SEBAGAI SARANA REBRANDING SENTRA SEPATU CIBADUYUT

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebagai upaya merespons permasalahan yang dihadapi Sentra Sepatu Cibaduyut, khususnya terkait menurunnya jumlah pengrajin, lemahnya regenerasi, dominasi produk makloon tanpa identitas, serta rendahnya pemanfaatan media digital sebagai sarana branding. Cibaduyut sebagai pusat industri sepatu kulit yang memiliki nilai historis dan kualitas produk unggulan memerlukan strategi branding baru agar tetap relevan dan kompetitif di era digital.

Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi, serta dianalisis menggunakan metode SWOT untuk mengidentifikasi kekuatan, kelemahan, peluang, dan ancaman kawasan. Hasil analisis ini menjadi dasar dalam merancang strategi branding kolektif yang diwujudkan melalui identitas visual berupa logo, warna, tipografi, dan tagline. Identitas tersebut kemudian diaplikasikan dalam bentuk video animasi 3D yang dirancang melalui tahapan pra-produksi, produksi, hingga pascaproduksi.

Video animasi 3D yang dihasilkan menampilkan keunggulan produk, nilai historis, dan ikon kawasan secara visual dan dinamis. Media ini tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai pengenalan produk, tetapi juga sebagai sarana branding kolektif yang mampu memperkuat citra Cibaduyut, menjangkau audiens digital, serta menarik minat generasi muda. Dengan demikian, perancangan ini diharapkan dapat mendukung keberlanjutan industri sepatu kulit Cibaduyut sekaligus memperkuat posisinya sebagai pusat industri kreatif berbasis budaya lokal.

ABSTRACT

This study was conducted in response to the challenges faced by the Cibaduyut Shoe Center, particularly the decline in the number of craftsmen, weak regeneration, the dominance of unbranded contract products, and the limited use of digital media as a branding tool. As one of the oldest leather shoe centers with strong historical value and high-quality products, Cibaduyut requires a new branding strategy to remain relevant and competitive in the digital era.

The research applied a qualitative approach, using interviews, observations, and documentation as data collection techniques, and SWOT analysis to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the industry. The results of the analysis formed the basis for designing a collective branding strategy, realized through the creation of a new visual identity including logo, colors, typography, and tagline. This visual identity was then applied in the design of a 3D animation video, developed through pre-production, production, and post-production stages.

The resulting 3D animation video presents the strengths of Cibaduyut’s products, its historical value, and local icons in a dynamic and visually appealing manner. The use of 3D animation serves not only as a product introduction medium but also as a collective branding tool capable of reinforcing Cibaduyut’s image, expanding its digital presence, and engaging younger audiences. Thus, this design project is expected to support the sustainability of the Cibaduyut leather shoe industry while strengthening its position as a cultural-based creative industry center.
