ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini merancang dan mengimplementasikan prototipe smart lock berbasis mikrokontroler dengan teknologi pengenalan wajah untuk manajemen akses rumah kos. Sistem ini menggunakan ESP32-CAM untuk mendeteksi wajah penghuni dan memberikan akses otomatis ke pintu jika identitas terverifikasi, serta terhubung dengan aplikasi Telegram untuk pemberitahuan aktivitas akses. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan akurasi 96,67% dengan satu False Negative, meskipun terdapat masalah pada latency yang tinggi (2374,05 ms) dan jitter rata-rata sebesar 66,15 ms. Meskipun packet loss tercatat 0%, optimasi jaringan dan penggunaan protokol komunikasi yang efisien seperti MQTT diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kinerja dan responsivitas sistem secara keseluruhan. Sistem ini menawarkan solusi praktis dan aman untuk manajemen akses, sekaligus mengurangi ketergantungan pada kunci fisik.

ABSTRACT

This research designs and implements a smart lock prototype based on a microcontroller with facial recognition technology for access management in boarding houses. The system uses ESP32-CAM to detect the faces of residents and automatically grant access to the door if their identity is verified, while also connecting to a Telegram app for access activity notifications. Test results show an accuracy of 96.67% with one False Negative, although issues were found with high latency (2374.05 ms) and an average jitter of 66.15 ms. With packet loss recorded at 0%, optimizing the network and using efficient communication protocols like MQTT are expected to improve the system's performance and responsiveness. This system offers a practical and secure solution for access management, reducing reliance on physical keys.
