PERANCANGAN VIDEO EDUKASI PENGENALAN MENGOLAH SAMPAH PLASTIK MENGGUNAKAN MOTION GRAPHIC
ABSTRAK
Video edukasi dalam bentuk animasi motion graphic merupakan salah satu solusi efektif untuk mengatasi masalah sampah plastik yang serius di kota-kota besar seperti Bandung. Berdasarkan data BPS Kota Bandung (2023), produksi sampah meningkat di antaranya adalah sampah plastik. Meskipun pemerintah telah meluncurkan program, partisipasi masyarakat dalam pemilahan dan daur ulang masih rendah, terutama di kalangan remaja. Perancangan video edukasi ini bertujuan untuk menambah pengetahuan remaja usia 18-21 tahun di Bandung tentang pentingnya pengolahan sampah plastik. Pendekatan motion graphic dengan kombinasi visual yang menarik dan pesan yang terstruktur. Keberhasilan animasi ini terletak pada kemampuannya untuk menyederhanakan informasi kompleks menjadi animasi yang mudah dipahami dan diingat oleh target audiens. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif dengan model pendekatan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Tahapan penelitian dimulai dengan Analisis kebutuhan materi dan karakteristik audiens melalui studi literatur dan wawancara mendalam dengan Komunitas Replast. Tahap evaluasi akan menilai keefektifan video animasi tersebut dalam menambah pengetahuan masyarakat melalui penilaian.

ABSTRACT
Public service advertisements in the form of motion graphic animation offer an effective solution to address the serious plastic waste problem in major cities such as Bandung. According to data from BPS Kota Bandung (2023), waste production has increased, with a significant portion consisting of plastic waste. Although the government has launched several programs, public participation in waste sorting and recycling remains low, especially among teenagers. The design of this public service video aims to raise awareness among teenagers aged 18–21 in Bandung about the importance of plastic waste management. The approach uses motion graphic animation combined with engaging visuals and structured messaging. The success of this animation lies in its ability to simplify complex information into content that is easy to understand and remember for the target audience. The research method used is qualitative, applying the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research stages begin with an analysis of material needs and audience characteristics through literature studies and in-depth interviews with Replast Community, a local organization active in recycling education. The evaluation phase will assess the effectiveness of the animated video in increasing public knowledge through scoring assessments.
