IMPLEMENTASI KARAKTER VIRTUAL ANIME BERBASIS AI SEBAGAI TEMAN MENGOBROL DENGAN METODE RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT (R&D)

ABSTRAK

Perkembangan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence) telah mendorong terciptanya sistem interaktif yang mampu berkomunikasi secara alami dengan pengguna. Salah satu pendekatan yang memiliki potensi besar dalam meningkatkan keterikatan emosional adalah penggunaan AI Persona dengan karakter anime sebagai media interaksi. Namun, banyak chatbot yang ada masih terasa kaku, kurang memiliki ekspresi emosional, dan tidak mampu memberikan pengalaman ngobrol yang Personal, sehingga pengguna sering merasa kurang terhubung secara emosional.

Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut, penelitian ini mengusulkan pengembangan AI Persona berbasis karakter anime yang dirancang untuk memberikan respons adaptif, emosional, dan sesuai kepribadian karakter yang ditampilkan. Sistem ini dibangun dengan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D), yang mencakup tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan, Implementasi, dan evaluasi. Karakter anime dipilih sebagai Persona karena memiliki daya tarik visual, ekspresi khas, dan citra yang familiar bagi target pengguna, sehingga diharapkan dapat membangun rasa nyaman dan keterikatan emosional selama interaksi.

Pengujian dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuesioner skala likert kepada pengguna untuk mengevaluasi aspek kenyamanan, kepuasan, dan kualitas interaksi. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, sistem memperoleh rata-rata persentase keseluruhan sebesar 86,11%, yang diinterpretasikan sebagai kategori Sangat Setuju. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa AI Persona karakter anime yang dikembangkan mampu memberikan pengalaman interaksi yang menyenangkan, tidak terasa kaku seperti robot, serta efektif dalam membangun kedekatan emosional antara pengguna dan sistem.

ABSTRACT

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has led to the creation of interactive systems capable of communicating naturally with users. One promising approach to enhancing emotional engagement is the use of an AI Persona with anime characters as the medium of interaction. However, many existing chatbots still feel rigid, lack emotional expression, and fail to provide a truly Personal conversation experience, causing users to feel less emotionally connected.

To address this issue, this research proposes the development of an anime-character-based AI Persona designed to deliver adaptive and emotionally expressive responses tailored to the unique Personality of each character. The system was developed using the Research and Development (R&D) approach, which includes stages of needs analysis, design, implementation, and evaluation. Anime characters were chosen as the Persona due to their visual appeal, distinctive expressions, and familiarity to the target audience, making them suitable for building comfort and emotional bonds during interactions.

Testing was conducted by distributing a Likert-scale questionnaire to users in order to evaluate aspects of comfort, satisfaction, and interaction quality. Based on the evaluation results, the system achieved an overall average percentage score of 86.11%, which falls into the Strongly Agree category. This indicates that the developed anime-character AI Persona successfully delivers enjoyable interactions that do not feel rigid like a conventional chatbot, and effectively builds an emotional connection between the user and the system.
