ABSTRAK

Trafik Voice over IP (VoIP) yang rentan terhadap kongesti jaringan memerlukan mekanisme prioritas untuk menjaga Quality of Service (QoS). Penelitian ini mengimplementasikan dan menganalisis kinerja algoritma antrean Hierarchy Token Bucket (HTB) sebagai solusi masalah tersebut. Menggunakan metode eksperimen kuantitatif di lingkungan simulasi Mininet, kinerja skenario baseline (tanpa antrean) dibandingkan dengan skenario setelah penerapan HTB, dengan kongesti yang dibangkitkan oleh Iperf3. Hasil menunjukkan implementasi HTB berhasil menekan packet loss hingga 0% dan menurunkan jitter serta RTT (Round Trip Time) secara drastis dibandingkan kondisi baseline yang mengalami degradasi layanan parah. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa HTB merupakan solusi yang sangat efektif untuk optimasi QoS trafik VoIP pada jaringan yang padat.

ABSTRACT

Voice over IP (VoIP) traffic, which is vulnerable to network congestion, requires a priority mechanism to maintain Quality of Service (QoS). This research implements and analyzes the performance of the Hierarchy Token Bucket (HTB) queuing algorithm as a solution to this problem. Using a quantitative experimental method in a Mininet simulation environment, the performance of a baseline scenario (without queuing) is compared to a scenario after the implementation of HTB, with congestion generated by Iperf3. The results show that the HTB implementation successfully suppressed packet loss to 0% and drastically reduced jitter and RTT (Round Trip Time) compared to the baseline condition, which suffered from severe service degradation. This study proves that HTB is a highly effective solution for optimizing QoS for VoIP traffic on congested networks.
