IMPLEMENTASI TEMAN VIRTUAL BERBASIS AI (FRIBAI) DENGAN PENDEKATAN PROTOTYPING

ABSTRAK

Kesepian dan kecemasan merupakan masalah serius di kalangan remaja, seringkali diperparah oleh minimnya teman bicara dan dominasi interaksi berbasis teks pada solusi digital yang ada. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan FribAI, sebuah teman virtual berbasis kecerdasan buatan dengan interaksi suara, untuk menyediakan platform berbagi cerita yang lebih natural dan suportif.

FribAI diimplementasikan menggunakan metode Prototyping yang berfokus pada integrasi teknologi kunci, yaitu Gemini API untuk pemodelan bahasa, Cartesia API untuk konversi suara ke teks, dan ElevenLabs untuk sintesis suara yang realistis. Sebuah AI Persona spesifik dirancang melalui prompt engineering untuk membentuk karakter yang empatik dan suportif.

Hasil pengujian Black Box Testing menunjukkan seluruh fungsionalitas sistem berjalan dengan baik. Sementara itu, User Acceptance Testingterhadap 30 responden menghasilkan tingkat penerimaan rata-rata 78%, membuktikan FribAI efektif dalam menciptakan perasaan ditemani, sehingga, mengurasngi rasa kesepian dan mengurangi kecemasan. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa FribAI berhasil menyediakan solusi komunikasi berbasis suara yang natural dan mudah digunakan, menjawab kebutuhan pengguna yang ingin berekspresi tanpa hambatan teks.

ABSTRACT

Loneliness and anxiety are serious issues among adolescents, often exacerbated by the lack of conversational partners and the dominance of text-based interactions in existing digital solutions. This study aims to develop FribAI, a voice-interactive virtual companion powered by artificial intelligence, designed to offer a more natural and supportive storytelling platform.

FribAI was implemented using the Prototyping method, focusing on the integration of key technologies: Gemini API for language modeling, Cartesia API for speech-to-text conversion, and ElevenLabs for realistic voice synthesis. A specific AI persona was crafted through prompt engineering to embody an empathetic and supportive character.

Black Box Testing results confirmed that all system functionalities operated effectively. Additionally, User Acceptance Testinginvolving 30 respondents yielded an average acceptance rate of 78%, demonstrating FribAI’s effectiveness in fostering a sense of companionship, thereby reducing feelings of loneliness and alleviating anxiety. The findings conclude that FribAI successfully delivers a natural and user-friendly voice-based communication solution, addressing the needs of users seeking expressive interaction beyond text constraints.
