ABSTRAK

Penyandang disabilitas fisik sering menghadapi berbagai hambatan dalam menjalani aktivitas harian yang berdampak pada tingkat kemandirian dan kualitas hidup mereka. Perkembangan teknologi, khususnya kecerdasan buatan (Artificial Intelligence/AI), membuka peluang untuk membantu mengurangi hambatan tersebut melalui pengembangan asisten virtual. Namun, mayoritas asisten virtual yang ada belum dirancang dengan mempertimbangkan kebutuhan khusus penyandang disabilitas fisik, terutama mereka yang mengalami keterbatasan motorik berat.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sebuah aplikasi asisten virtual adaptif berbasis AI yang ditujukan khusus untuk penyandang disabilitas fisik. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen, dengan tahapan pengembangan sistem meliputi perancangan antarmuka, implementasi fitur, serta pengujian efektivitas aplikasi. Aplikasi ini dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Python dengan integrasi teknologi pengenalan suara, Text-to-Speech (gTTS), serta antarmuka grafis menggunakan Tkinter.

Hasil dari pengembangan sistem menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi mampu merespons perintah suara dalam Bahasa Indonesia, memberikan pengingat waktu minum obat dan fisioterapi, menyampaikan berita dan hiburan terkini (anime, manga), serta menyediakan tombol darurat WhatsApp. Aplikasi ini memberikan kemudahan akses, kenyamanan, serta potensi peningkatan kemandirian bagi penyandang disabilitas fisik.

ABSTRACT

Persons with physical disabilities often face various challenges in carrying out daily activities, which affect their level of independence and overall quality of life. The advancement of technology, particularly in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), offers opportunities to reduce these barriers through the development of virtual assistants. However, most existing virtual assistants are not designed with consideration for the specific needs of users with physical disabilities, especially those with severe motor impairments.

This study aims to design and implement an adaptive AI-based virtual assistant application specifically intended for individuals with physical disabilities. The research employs an experimental method, involving stages such as interface design, feature implementation, and application performance testing. The application was developed using the Python programming language, integrating speech recognition, text-to-speech (gTTS), and a graphical user interface (GUI) using Tkinter.

The results of the system development show that the application is capable of responding to voice commands in Indonesian, providing reminders for medication and physiotherapy schedules, delivering up-to-date news and entertainment (anime, manga), and offering a WhatsApp emergency contact button. This application offers accessible interaction, convenience, and has the potential to enhance the independence of users with physical disabilities.
